Data Warehousing & Data Mining  Resources for Internal Auditors

Internal auditors regularly access organization information for audit purposes. Many organizations now maintain computerized data warehouses containing useful management and financial information for auditors. Auditors therefore need to understand both the concepts of data warehousing as well as data mining techniques. Data warehousing is a process for assembling and managing data from various sources for the purpose of gaining a single, detailed view of part or all of a business. Data mining is the use of automated tools to explore and analyze large amounts of data stored in those data warehouses.
